SSC CGL Recruitment 2017 Notification Update date

Staff selection commission SSC CGL Recruitment 2017 Notification will soon release combined graduate level examination (CGLE) notification 2017 for the recruitment of candidates to various posts in center government. Candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria which contain the educational qualification, age limit and physical requirement for some posts.

Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria can apply through the SSC online portal for recruitments and after that they will be registered online. Candidates should not send their application forms by post. SSC CGL notification 2017 was to be released on March 11, 217 but it has been delayed by the SSC for the reasons not known. It can be predicted however, that the delay in release of notification is due to the change in pattern. But candidates should not worry, the syllabus will remain the same. Only the pattern of the exam may change which has also been notifies on the official website of SSC.

SSC CGL 2017 recruitment details

There are several posts under various ministries for which the recruitments are done. Over the time generally after the year 2012 the vacancies have been reduced and the competition has been increased higher than expected.

Eligibility criteria:

Candidates must have their degree/ graduation from any recognized university in order to apply for the posts. There is no percentage requirement to apply for any post.

Age limit:

For most of the posts, age limit is 27 years for General categories. For some of the posts like ASO in central secretariat services and Enforcement officers the age has been relaxed to 30 years. Candidates from reserved categories will be given exemption in upper age limit as per the rules of the government,

Selection process:

Candidates will be called for written test which will be 3 tier tests as under

  1. Tier 1- prelim examination
  2. Tier 2- mains examination
  3. Tier 3- writing skill test for 100 marks
