Bankers adda IBPS IT officer syllabus 2017 exam pattern pdf and download last year old question paper along with cutoff marks .IBPS has released notification for the recruitment of candidates to the post of It officers and candidates in large numbers are going to apply. The number of vacancies are comparatively less than what it was the previous year. Each year the number of vacancy is decreasing and candidates who are searching for the examination will be required to know the pattern of exam first and also the syllabus for the examination.
IBPS SO IT Officer Professional knowledge
Each year the pattern of the exam also keeps on changing and this year too, the pattern of exam has been changed a bit which has been given more importance to the IT section/ however all other sections of the examination will be required to be passed by the candidates and they cannot leave any section. According to the recent notification, marks obtained by any other section will not be considered for final merit list and only the marks of IT knowledge section will be counted for the final cutoff marks. All those candidates who will qualify the exam will next be called for the interview process which will be the last phase. Merit list will be prepared based on the performance of candidates in written test and interview process.

IBPS IT officer exam pattern has been changed and following changes have been introduced in the pattern of the examination. These are

Syllabus for IBPS IT officers exam

Quantitative aptitude test:
This test will be for 50 marks and questions will be asked from the below topics:

This section will be asked for 75 marks and this will be the most important section in the examination. Below are the topics from where the questions will be asked

- DBMS Types / Advantages / function
- Data Communication & Networking,
- Operating system functions,
- Network Security,
- Web Technologies,
- Basic Programming Concepts,
- Basics of hardware (Microprocessor, timer, ALU, etc.)
- Operating system and software engineering etc
In this section, questions will be asked from Data Sufficiency, Syllogism, Input-Output, Coding-Decoding, Analogy, Blood Relation, Puzzle Test, Direction Sense, Logical Venn Diagrams, Alphabet & Alpha Numeric Sequence Test, Eligibility Test, Number, Ranking, Time Sequence Test, Arrangements-Linear & Circular etc
This will be also very important section ad it will have 50 questions for 25 marks only. Candidates will have to qualify this section too. Questions will be asked from Reading comprehension, fill in the blanks, sentence corrections, Para jumbles, Vocabulary, Grammar Corrections, Identification of Errors, sentence corrections, Vocabulary, Grammar Corrections, Identification Of Errors, Synonyms/ Antonyms, Choosing the appropriate word and Spelling etc.
Candidates who will pass the written test with good and high marks will be selected next for the personal interview process and after this they will be finally selected for the post.
