IBPS PO 2017 recruitment- complete detail.IBPS is the independent organization which has been entrusted with the responsibility to carry out recruitment for the government banks. The recruitment program carried out by the IBPS includes IBPS clerk, PO, SO and other exams as decided by the individual banks from time to time. IBPS is going to release notification for the recruitment of candidates to the post of PO/ MT in the public sector banks in the country and a lot of candidates are going to apply in the recruitment process. The number of vacancy along with all other details will be released by IBPS on its official website www.ibps.in and candidates will be required to apply online. First candidates should understand the pattern of exam, IBPS PO syllabus, criteria of selection and eligibility process and after this they should register online for the IBPS PO recruitment 2017-18. IBPS PO 2017-18 complete recruitment details

IBPS will hold online exam fir the selection of candidates to the post of PO in various public sector banks and all those who wish to apply must check the eligibility below.

IBPS PO MT 2017 imp dates to remember:

  • Online registration process will be held- July to August 2017

IBPS PO 2017 eligibility criteria


All those who are nationals of Indian republic are eligible to apply. All those who are subject of Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh are also eligible to apply IBPS PO 2017.

Educational qualification:

All those who have passed their graduation or its equivalent educational qualification from any recognized university or its equivalent are eligible to apply for the posts. There is no percentage criteria to apply for the IBPS PO posts.

Age limit:

Age of candidates should be less than 30 years. All those who belong to OBC, SC, ST, ex servicemen or PWD categories will be given exemption in upper age limits. The exemption will work out horizontally and vertically both.

Application fee:

Candidates who belong to General/ OBC category will have to pay Rs 600/- as application fee and all other categories will have to pay Rs 100 as the intimation fee. Fee can be paid only through the online mode.

Examination centers:

Candidates have to appear for the prelim and mains exam from a particular center and they have to choose the exam center while filling up the application forms. Below are the centres available for the exam

Agra, Agartala, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Allahabad, Aurangabad, Bareilly, Balasore, Behrampur (Ganjam), Bhopal, Bengaluru, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Dhanbad, Dehradun, Gorakhpur, Guwahati, Gulbarga, Hubli, Jabalpur, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kanpur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Karnal, Kochi, Kavaratti, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Mangalore, Muzaffarpur, Mysore, New Delhi, Nagpur, Panaji (Goa), Port Blair, Patiala, Patna, Puducherry, Rajkot, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Rohtak, Shimla, Siliguri, Shillong, Thiruchirapalli, Tirupati, Thiruvananthapuram, Vadodara, Vijaywada, Varanasi and Vishakhapatnam.

IBPS PO 2017 exam pattern

IBPS PO exam will be conducted online on computer at one of the above centers and candidates have to appear for the prelim test first. All those who will pass the prelim will be shortlisted for the mains exam later.

IBPS PO Prelim test pattern

The prelim test will be conducted online for 100 marks. This will be qualifying in purpose and there will be 100 questions from 3 sections as under.

  1. English test for 30 marks
  2. Reasoning test for 35 marks
  3. Quantitative aptitude test for 35 marks

IBPS PO Mains exam pattern 2017

The Mains exam pattern will be the main part of selection process. Marks obtained in this section will contribute 80% to final selection process. There will be 5 sections as under

  1. Reasoning test for 50 marks
  2. Quantitative aptitude test for 50 marks
  3. English test for 40 marks
  4. General awareness test for 40 marks
  5. Computer awareness test for 20 marks

Total test will be for 200 marks and total time allowed will be 2 hours.

IBPS PO Admit card 2017

All those who will apply successfully and pay their exam fee will be called for the prelim and mains exam and first Prelim exam will be released followed by the mains exam admit card. Without admit cards candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exams.

IBPS PO Cutoff marks 2017

Cutoff of IBPS PO will depend on several factors including number of vacancies, complexity of the question paper and number of candidates appearing in the exam etc.

Cutoff will be released on sectional and overall basis.

IBPS PO selection process 2017-18

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in

  1. Prelim exam
  2. Mains exam
  3. Personal interview
