IBPS clerk recruitment 2017 notification
The procedure of the IBPS clerk 2017 exam has been changing each year and you need to stuck to the latest pattern of exam and syllabus. If you are following one of the books which are presenting older information/ pattern of exam and syllabus then switch to the new pattern and type of questions being asked in the IBPS clerk exams now. Currently the pattern of IBPS clerk English section has been changed. Type of questions which were earlier used to be asked are now changing and it is expected that the current exam will have this changes.
IBPS Clerk 2017 recruitment procedure in detail
First IBPS will release notification at the official website www.ibps.in and all those candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria will need to apply online for the posts. The release of notification for this year will soon take place.

Candidates who are the resident of Indian states are eligible to apply for these posts.
Candidates who have passed their graduation or its equivalent educational qualification from any recognized university or its equivalent are eligible to apply for the posts. As of now there is no any percentage requirement to apply for these positions
Candidates age must not be less than 20 years and must not exceed 28 years for General category. All those who belong to the reserved categories will be given exemption in upper age limit as per the category and rules of the government.
All those candidates who belong to General/ OBC can pay Rs 600/- as the application fee and all other candidates can pay Rs 100/- as the intimation charges. The fee can be paid through the online mode only.

IBPS clerk exam pattern and syllabus
IBPS clerk examination will be conducted online on computer. There will be 2 phases of selection process
- Prelim exam
- Mains examination
Pattern of prelim test:
This will be qualifying in nature and there will be 100 questions in the exam. Candidates who will qualify the prelim examination will be called next for the mains examination. Candidates will be required to pass the individual tests and overall exam which will have separate cutoff for each category.
Prelim test pattern:
- English test for 30 marks
- Reasoning test for 35 marks
- Quantitative aptitude test for 35 marks
Total test will be for 100 marks. Time allowed will be 1 hour and there will be negative marking for 0.25 mark.
Mains exam pattern:
The mains exam will comprise 5 sections and there will be 200 questions in the exam. Candidates have to pass each section with separate cutoff in their category. There will be negative marking in the exam for 0.25 marks
- English test for 40 marks
- Reasoning test for 40 marks
- Quantitative aptitude test for 40 marks
- General awareness for 40 marks
- Computer awareness test for 40 marks
IBPS clerk 2017 admit card
Candidates who will apply successfully for the exam will be called for the exam by issuing admit cards to them. First the prelim exam hall ticket will be issued to them and those who will pass prelim test will be issued hall tickets for the mains examination.
IBPS clerk cutoff marks 2017
The cutoff for IBPS clerk will be based on individual test cutoff as well as overall test cutoff in both the prelim and mains exams. Sectional as well as overall cutoff will be there for the exams.
