According to the notification, the bank will conduct online examination which will be conducted in two phases. Prelim and mains exam both will be online and objective in nature. Both the phases will have English section as compulsory part of examination. English section preparation in bank
A lot of candidates fail in English section each year in the examination. It is very important for the candidates to improve this part to enhance their overall examination. In the objective test there will be English in all the phases of the exam. Candidates will need to score good marks in this part to improve the overall performance. Also there is sectional cutoff in the examination so it makes it mandatory for candidates to pass all the sections in the examination. Candidates will have to qualify the examination and based on their preparation and marks they will be shortlisted for the interview phase. First the prelim exam will be conducted and candidates will have to qualify it. Based on their performance in prelim, they will next be called for the mains examination and they will be called next for the interview based on their marks obtained in the mains exam. As of now there will be interview in the selection process which is subject to the government approval and candidates should also prepare for the same. To pass the examination, candidates have to focus on the following there points as mentioned below
In banking examination, there are more number of questions than the available time. For example, there are 200 questions and candidates will have to solve those in mere time of 120 minutes. It means they have less than one minute to solve one question. Also there are Reasoning and aptitude section where the questions are more time consuming and candidates will take more than 2-3 minutes on single question sometimes. It is where they have to maintain the speed in the examination and they have to qualify the exam with good marks. In the prelim exam there will be English section for 30 marks and candidates will need to obtain at least 7-8 marks to qualify the section. Also they have to obtain good marks in overall exam else they will not be considered for the next phase. While reasoning and aptitude are time taking sections, General awareness, English and computer are among those section which take very less time and candidates can solve as many as 10 questions in one minute of time. So overall, candidates have to maintain the speed according to the section
Not only the speed but also the accuracy is very important in the examination. Not only because you lose marks but also you have wasted your time on such questions which are wrong and you could have invested those time in another questions which may have borne you marks. Candidates should be careful for this type of mistake and they should choose those questions in which they care confident and they have to solve those sections only. To improve the accuracy, candidates should start with the section in which they are good and they have to pass the exam with overall good marks. Also it has to be toe that each question will carry 1 mark but on wrong answer you will lose ¼ and your performance will degree. As there are large number of applicants appearing for the examination, candidates should know the accuracy importance and they have to maintain it throughout the examination. Choose sections in English to be done
Candidates will need to choose the questions form English section. In prelim exam there will be 30 questions in English and they have to choose at least 10 out of those which they can do easily and they can obtain at least 10 marks to qualify the sectional cutoff.
In the mains examination, there will be 40 questions in the English section and candidates will need to choose at least 20 questions from among the questions which they think they can do with accuracy and they can focus on those. Candidates can leave the comprehension reading section/ passage for the last and if they get time they can attempt those questions.

Now candidates can decide in which question they are confident and they can solve those questions. They can start with Spotting error or cloze test. In clerk examination, para jumbles questions are easier and they can solve that. They will take 5-6 minutes on para jumbled and they can solve it easily.
