9th Sep IBPS RRB prelims Review 2017 Analysis

IBPS RRB prelims exam analysis September 9 2017.Today IBPS has conducted officer scale I exam for RRBs in country and a lot of candidates have appeared in the examination. The next phase of the exam is scheduled on 10 September and next week for prelim after which the mains examination will be conducted. This time there is only 2 tests which are reasoning and quantitative aptitude test. Candidates will be required to pass the prelim test after which they will be called for the next phase of the examination. Analysis and review of prelim exam of September 9 has been given here and candidates can know the details. Based on this they can prepare well for the examination. IBPS RRB exam will be conducted online on computer and there are 80 questions from 2 sections unlike 100 questions in other IBPS examinations.

Candidates should reach the center on time. Late comers will not be allowed to appear for the test. The exam will be conducted for 80 marks and duration will be 45 minutes. There will be 2 sections which are

  1. Reasoning and general intelligence
  2. Quantitative Aptitude test

Questions asked in Reasoning section:

  1. Syllogism
  • Number of Questions asked: 5
  • Questions were based on the old pattern.
  • The overall level of these questions was easy to moderate.
  1. Inequality
  • Number of Questions asked: 5
  • Questions were asked from direct inequality
  • Level of these questions was easy.
  1. Coding- Decoding
  • Number of Questions asked: 5
  • Questions were asked from Sentence Coding.
  • The level of these questions was Easy to Moderate.
  1. Puzzles and Seating Arrangement

Number of Questions asked: 20

The overall level of these questions was Moderate. 

Following questions were asked under this segment in the exam:
(a) Circular Arrangement: This included some people facing inward, while some facing outside the circle.
(b) Linear Arrangement: 2 parallel rows were given, with people in 1 row facing north and ones in the other, facing south.
(c) Another was a month based scheduling puzzle.
(d) A box puzzle was also asked with the arrangement of 8 boxes.

Quantitative Aptitude test:

  1. Number Series
  • Number of Questions asked: 5
  • The level of the questions was Moderate.
  1. Quadratic Equations
  • Number of Questions asked: 5
  • These questions were easy to attempt and almost all of them were doable.
  1. Simplification/ Approximation
  • Number of Questions asked: 5
  • The level of approximation questions was Easy to Moderate.
  1. Data Interpretation

Number of Questions asked: 15 (3 sets)

The overall level of these questions was Moderate. Few questions were calculative.

Following questions were asked:
(a) Line Chart
(b) Pie Chart
(c) Tabular Graph: Based on the number of students in Physics and Chemistry and their percentage.
